Jean Batten was born in Rotorua
15th sep 1909 and her full name was Jane Gardner Batten. 
Amelia Earhart  was born July 24,
1897 and disappeared July 2 1937.

    Comparing these two Aviatrix is a great idea.
    Did you know that Jean Batten had a mascot kitten she flew with called Buddy? I wonder if they ever met?
