Best Piece Of Work So Far This Year

My Impact Project

This is my impact project, I have chosen this as my best piece of work because I have worked hard and put a lot of time into this piece of work. The aim of our project is to take the time and initiative to go to our local beach. Our goal is to clean up and remove as much plastic and other harmful waste that can threaten our marine wildlife. We want to take advantage of the time we have on Fridays during impact projects to travel to the beach and clean up as much as we can.  We aim to clean sand dunes and in the actual ocean itself. We chose this project because the last few times we have been diving we would see plastic lying along the beaches. Some fish or animals might think that it is food e.g turtles mistaking jellyfish for plastic bags. And this not only hurts the wildlife that makes up marine wildlife it can also affect humans who want to eat the fish that are filled with plastic.

What impact do we portray on the community?

Do we need parent supervision?

How will we get there?

Where will we take our collected rubbish to dump?

What will we expect to find down there?

What to do if we encounter threats such as sharks and stingrays?

TAKING THE LEAD

DAY 1: TAKING THE LEAD

Here are my top five favourite things to.
  1. Hunting is a really fun hobby of mine, just being out there is enjoying.
  2. Fishing is super fun, pulling in fish with friends is amazing.
  3. MTB (short for mountain biking) is unbeatable, especially with friends.
  4. Diving is extraordinary seeing all the sea life and diving for food.

INDIVIDUAL PURSUITS

DAY 4: INDIVIDUAL PURSUITS

Three things I have learnt from watching these videos are that…

  1.  You can actually make lots of money by being good at something.
  2. Tennis is a hard focusing sport (like any other I guess)
  3.  I researched tennis and these are some benefits.
Playing tennis has many health benefits including:
  • increasing aerobic capacities.
  • lowering resting heart rate and blood pressure.
  • improving metabolic function.
  • increasing bone density.
  • lowering body fat.
  • improving muscle tone, strength and flexibility.
  • increasing reaction times.

And the thing I want to know is how they are that good.

Superpowers

Day 3: Superpowers
Power 1: The first power I would have is to be invisible.
So I can sneak up on people and do stuff
without people knowing.

Power 2: Would be to fly, for the simple reason that it
would be fun.

Power 3: To be able to make stuff
appear in front of me. I would have millions of dollars.

Charities

Activity 2: Charities
SPCA
The SPCA

SPCA is the only charity with the
legal powers to help animals in
need and expose animal offenders.
Our Inspectors are appointed under the Animal
Welfare Act 1999 which provides
powers to investigate cruelty, abuse,
neglect and abandonment.
